As students across Hawaiʻi prepare for a new school year, The Aloha Bears helped ensure Hale Kipa youth had some of the supplies they needed to start the year ready to learn.
Through their Back to School Drive at Tapas Waikiki, The Aloha Bears and members of the community generously donated 22 backpacks and an assortment of school supplies to Hale Kipa. The backpacks featured a variety of fun themes and styles for youth of different ages, giving them an opportunity to choose something that reflects their personality.
For the youth we serve, a new backpack filled with school supplies can mean more than simply being prepared for the classroom. It can help a young person begin the school year with greater confidence and serve as a reminder that people in their community care about their well-being and success.
Hale Kipa is grateful to The Aloha Bears and everyone who contributed to the Back to School Drive. Community partnerships and acts of generosity like these help us continue supporting Hawaiʻi’s youth and providing them with opportunities to thrive.
