Hale Kipa extends its heartfelt mahalo to Joshua Dela Cruz, the students, families, and staff of Keoneʻula Elementary School for their incredible generosity and compassion through their recent Toiletries Drive.
The school community donated a wide variety of much-needed items, including gently used clothing, hydration bottles, oral health supplies, personal hygiene kits, and personal grooming products. These thoughtful in-kind donations will directly support youth and young adults participating in Hale Kipa’s programs and services as they work toward stability, healing, and brighter futures.
Acts of kindness like this remind us of the power of community and the importance of coming together to uplift one another. For many of the young people Hale Kipa serves, access to everyday essentials can make a meaningful difference in their confidence, well-being, and ability to focus on personal growth and positive life changes.
Keoneʻula Elementary School’s mission, “To inspire all students to become responsible, productive, caring citizens in a global society,” was beautifully reflected in this service project. Through their generosity, students not only provided practical support for local youth in need, but also demonstrated empathy, leadership, and a deep commitment to caring for their community.
Hale Kipa is deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to the drive and helped make it such a success. By teaching the value of compassion and giving, Keoneʻula Elementary School is helping shape the next generation of community leaders and changemakers.
Together, we are creating brighter futures for all of Hawaiʻi’s youth.
