Monique Ibarra

Chief Operating Officer

Monique Ibarra is a seasoned nonprofit executive and licensed social worker with more than 12 years of leadership experience serving children, youth, families, and individuals experiencing complex challenges. As Chief Operating Officer at Hale Kipa, she works alongside the CEO, leadership team, staff, and community partners to strengthen programs, maintain and upkeep facilities, support organizational effectiveness, and advance services that improve outcomes for youth and families.
 
Throughout her 20+ year career, Monique has led multi-site programs, managed public and private funding, strengthened organizational operations, and built partnerships in the human services communities across the islands of Hawai’i. Her leadership is value driven in collaboration, accountability, compassion, and a deep commitment to service.
 
As a United States Air Force veteran, Monique brings a lifelong commitment to serving others and strengthening communities. She earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from the University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu, and an Associate in Science in Human Services from University of Hawaiʻi Maui College. She is a Licensed Social Worker in the State of Hawaiʻi.
 
She is beyond grateful to be part of the Hale Kipa ʻohana and to continue a life of service alongside people who care deeply about the youth and families in our beloved community.
