As part of “Alcon in Action,” a company-wide day of community volunteering, local associates Gerrick White and Heather Flanders, dedicated their day prepping and applying a fresh coat of paint to a residential room in Hale Kipa’s Emergency Shelter. This shelter offers emergency services for youth through age 17 who have been abused, or are neglected, unsheltered, or facing a personal crisis.
While Alcon in Action is a one-day event, Alcon works year-round alongside local non-profit organizations in communities worldwide. From literacy tutoring and meal delivery to vision screenings, Alcon associates contribute to their communities on an ongoing basis. Helping people see brilliantly is the core of Alcon’s mission, and by volunteering and supporting long-time charitable partners, lives are changed in more ways than one.
Hale Kipa is proud to be partnered with like-minded companies that support the most vulnerable in our community.
